What does a Blaebeast look like?

Blaebeasts look very stupid and it’s great.

BBs tend to be taller than humans, heavier than humans, and contain more muscle than humans.

Some of this art is old, and I don’t quite draw them like this anymore, so please excuse any discrepancies between styles.

The Head, Including the Helmet, Horns, Tusks and Ears:

- Blaebeasts have large horn growths over the top of their heads that protect their brains during battle. Besides containing the normal head stuff like the brain and nasal cavity, it is full of good spongey tissue to absorb blows better. Horns come in a big range of sizes, styles, and shapes. Sometimes, if major trauma happens to the head that causes the helmet or horns to break, they can get filled in with a metal alloy, usually a titanium alloy, and then covered with enamel or paint to make the look seamless.

Here are some examples of different horns and faces.

Some helmets have “beaks” that can be upturned, hook down, be a little long or a little short. This beak is also where their nostrils are.

Most BBs have “tusks” that protrude from their bottom lip, but may also come from their helmet. These are not actual true teeth, yet are still boney protrusions.

BBs have locks of hair that tend to come out in between their ears and eyes, yet may also grow from behind their ears. Hair texture varies quite a bit, ranging from “silky”, “fluffy”, “wavy” and “curly”. Some BBs, most seen in males and didals, that exhibit large amounts of testosterone may grow hair from the back of their head.

Ears come in a wide range of sizes, with all sorts of variations to them. Most ears come out roughly horizontal, but very highly-held ears or very droopy ears do exist also. Sometimes they can be very lobed and shapely. They are usually pretty large to help with heat distribution. Some ears have tufts of fur on the tips. The ears can be rotated and lifted quite a bit to show a good range of emotions, especially since BBs don’t have eyebrows.

The Body:

- Blaebeasts, while usually on the more muscular side, do display a large range of different body types, just like humans.

Some BBs have locks of hair near their wrists and ankles, but hair can also grow on other parts of the body too, such as down the spine, near the hips or neck, or on the back of the leg or arms. In ancient times, wrist hair would be wrapped around the Beast’s weapon so it was harder to knock it out of their hands.

BBs tend to be a little bit more barrel-chested.

BBs have two fingers and a thumb, and that thumb has a much wider range of motion than our thumbs. BBs have exceptionally high grip strength.

BBs have hooves.
